Re: PS No Go

Ya, Project Spark really isn't a final stop. Even when it was supported, if you got serious about game development, you really had to move on to something professional. Can't live in MS Paint forever. At some point ya have to move to Photoshop, or a clone. :) For me that happened to be Unity for now...

Project Spark VR, a hypothetical

DANNYBOY3600 (owner of Project Spark Team, an Xbox Live Club) is asking for Windows 10 (and possibly 8) Sparker to try and make VR games. Using a gyroscopic mouse for camera control. PROJECT SPARK VR - I need everyone who owns Project Spark on windows 10 to try and work on a VR game. Use mouse gryo ...

Re: Raycast broken?

What Object are you using for the Sphere? Is the Sphere object moving? When troubleshooting it's best to give as many details a possible. In the past I've occasionally had some oddness with Invisibly and Non-collision, when it interacting with Raycasts and Detectors, but its hard to replicate. I can...

Re: Project Spark (dot com) Forum Archive

It's something I'm thinking about. I'm kinda waiting for the official forums to actually be taken offline. I just wanted to get a copy of it off my computer now... in that "just in case" moment of something like hard drive failure.

Project Spark (dot com) Forum Archive

When the Sunset announcement came through saying the UGC was being taken offline in August, and that fate of official forums was unclear (but likely to follow) I started doing an archival backup of the message board, to preserve user Guides, FAQs, Bug reports, and other relevant information. Provide...

Re: Trouble Shooting Old Pre-Post-Sunset Login Issues

I tried with a very old XBL Account that never had Spark on it, United States Region. 0) Totally cleared Project Spark from the testing machine. 1) Made a new Local Non-MS user on the PC (SparkLab Offline 2) 2) Ran the Batch File as Administrator to install PS, from SparkLab Offline 2, giving the ma...

Try downloading another Free App from the store. Just on a wild off chance.

Re: Trouble Shooting Old Pre-Post-Sunset Login Issues

Okay some follow-up attempts at reproduction. I went ahead and on a secondary machine of mine, fully uninstalled Project Spark and reinstalled it from the AppX, from a Non-MS Non-Admin Local account (with the AppX residing in the machine's Admin account Downloads folder, as required by the BAT). Sto...

Re: Trouble Shooting Old Pre-Post-Sunset Login Issues

For the record: I suggested creating a Local (non-Microsoft) account and trying to install the AppX from there. It should, in theory and in my own tests, have had Project Spark startup. It would have asked to log-in to the Store as a one time pop-up. It would have gone back to Project Spark and aske...
