Sync project spark across different computers

Is it possible to sync project spark between 2 computers? I normally play on my desktop because of nicer graphics, but sometimes I am away from it and I play on my laptop. Is it possible to sync PS between my computers?

Thanks for your help.

With some symlinks to a onedrive folder it would be possible, yes

What I would try is:
- On your main computer, copy the dakota directory that is located on "%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Dakota_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState" to your onedrive directory
- Remove the files at the original directory, but keep a copy just to be safe, on your desktop per exemple
- open cmd
- Create a symlink ->

Code: Select all

mklink /d "%onedrive%\dakota" "%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Dakota_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\dakota"

- Try to launch PS to see if the junction works. If you worlds are available, then it works, so head to your other computers, sync Onedrive and create the same symlink on any computer you want to sync

Technically what it does is telling the system that whenever trying to access %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Dakota_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\dakota it should use %onedrive%\dakota instead

Hmm, that didn't work. It says

mklink : The term 'mklink' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program.
Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
At line:1 char:1
+ mklink /d "%onedrive%\Dakota" "%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Dako ...
+ ~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (mklink:String) [], CommandNotFoundException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException

I did run powershell as administrator, so what am I doing wrong? Also, I double checked that the paths were right and they were.
